I've been remiss in posting this

Awhile back (in May, I believe) I received this beautiful pillow from Conny for Round 4 of the Blackbird Designs Exchange group.   I meant to post it, I really did.  But then I went MIA for awhile and climbed back into my hunker-down-and-just-deal-with-it mode.

I know you all must think I am daft for it but when I get overwhelmed I usually retreat until I figure out a way to deal with whatever it is that's bothering me.  (Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this...)  I know there are those lucky folks that have BFFs and sisters who act as a safety net but, alas, I do not have the luxury of either. Now, I'm really putting myself out here by saying I'm really introverted and have been hurt many, many times by those I considered friends.  And the nail in the coffin was when I lost my BF because she told me I was a toxin to her life.  So, you see my reluctance to rely on anyone but my Dave and myself when I tie myself up in knots over something...

OK, back to the BBD exchange....

Conny does exquisite work.  I was so impressed by it and she used a hand painted fabric to create it.  I believe she wrote in her note that it was Tentakulum Painter's thread in Matisse.

So Conny, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and ask for a pass for my rudeness because I didn't post this beautiful exchange piece as I should have...

What a beautiful exchange from Conny! I retreat into myself too when things are bad. I totally get it. I hope things have gotten better for you.

Joanie I'm the say way. When life gets over-whelming I too retreat and kind of just become a wall flower. Glad to see you posting again. I promised that no matter how I feel I just need to start expressing myself. I'm getting to darn old to hold back~~LOL LOL

Hard to believe that I think I'm old at 27 years of age....and if you believe that one I have a swamp to sell you!!LOL LOL

I think that we all retreat when life gets overwhelming. I do. Just disappear for a little until I can get back into terms with everything. I love having people around, but am basically a loner too if that makes sense. I know that I'm not going to hurt myself, when others seem to sometimes.

I guess that you could call me a loner too. I do enjoy the company of others, but I am a huge home body. I frustrate my husband enormously, he loves going out for the day but I am happiest at home.

This is a beautiful piece. You are not the only one , I also retreat to my self when the things go bad or the circumstances are to overwhelming for me. If I can , I put distance. I hope I can do that right now.

I hope everything gets much better for you now on :)

Well just found you and oohh love the new stash and of course Ms Daisy she is a very beautiful GS. My DH has decided not to take retirement this year and do another to help with the pension. Oh dear stash buying for me will be seriously curtailed then, I do have enough to last until I am at least 150,but how is it you do not want to do what you have but just must have the one you have just seen on the web.
Anyway nice to meet you and I am a follower now. Hugs from the UK
