Just so you can see...
that I am not completely insane....this is the state of my house after a year of construction. Sorry they are a bit on the dark side, I took them at dusk...

I do not think you are nuts...Golly, do you live in said house?! I think that I would be lighting up, tearing up, kicking up my contractors life for sure...A YEAR?!

You are NOT nuts, Joanie!! I just read your earlier post about your phone conversation with the contractor expressing your dissatisfaction. HURRAY!! I'm soooo glad you finally told him how unhappy you are about this project. Now just keep it up! I'll back you all the way, girlfriend. :D

You have every right to be upset. So sorry that you are going through all of this with your contractor.
I hope things are progressing now. Document everything.
